Nikon 24mm f1.4 quick review
The nikon 24mm 1.4 f lens is probably one of the most unique lenses http://wwww.nikonusa.com has produced. I have had the chance recently to use it on the Nikon D3s which is a FX camera but soon I will be putting it on a DX camera.I am blown away by the depth of field it offers at such a wide angle. So the question we ask ourselves is why would you want to put the Nikon 24mm f/1.4 on a DX camera? The Nikon 24mm f/1.4 is an amazing wide angle lens on FX cameras, but when you use it on a DX camera, it becomes a 36mm (FOV) f/1.4. It gives a similar FOV to the Nikon 35mm f/1.4, except that the Nikon 35mm f/1.4 is slightly cheaper. A big difference with Nikon 24mm f/1.4 on a DX thou is you won’t get the same DoF characteristics as the 35mm even thou the FOV is equivalent of a 35mm. Take a look at the example below, the DOF is nearly doubled with the 24mm on a DX camera. So check out the Nikon 24mm f.14 lens when you have the chance, oh and I forgot to mention you will need about $2000. Start saving my friends!

Lilyann 7 months
I would have to rank this my top model out of anyone I have ever photographed! She is one hot tamale! Since the first time I ever did her did her photos, 7 1/2 months ago, it has been a breath taking experience watching her grow. It is so neat how I have my own porcelain doll baby I can photograph whenever I want. It brings me much joy being able to spend this quality time with her, which is something we will look back on years to come. She had a fever the entire day, yet she always has her joyful laughter that shines through. She was a trooper the entire session this morning. I am so grateful just to have these moments with her. I hope you see her personality through these pictures and I hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them!
Clark Family
This afternoon, I had the amazing opportunity of photographing the Clark family at Mrs. Clark’s home. What a beautiful location to do a family session. From what I learned, their home was built back in the early 1920’s. The neatest part of the entire session was being able to capture four generations of a family who has been around the Lake County area for some time. This family is a down to earth, fun loving, southern family, I almost felt like I was back in my hometown in Bamberg, SC. Thank you for allowing me to be able to be a part of capturing your family memories!
Bryant and Mom
What an awesome way to end the day today! I had the privilege of shooting Bryant and his mother, Amanda, in Twin Lakes Park. They have an extraordinary story that not many people can tell! Despite the circumstances, she is an amazing example of what a mother is suppose to model for a son. Just by talking with Bryant that brief time, I can tell he is raised by a Godly family who fears and loves the Lord. I was extremely blessed by these two this afternoon. Thank you for opening my eyes to treasure these moments we all have here on this Earth together! Hope these rock your socks off!
2 brothers + Dylan= personality!
This past Saturday I had a photo shoot with the Bell family. If I had to describe their family in one word, it would be personality. With 3 boys in one house they know how to have a blast. Their middle child is very shy at first but once he starts to feel comfortable, watch out he is all over the place. I didn’t think I was ever going to see him smile but then he warmed up. I have one brother and I could only imagine what a house of 3 boys would be like. The great blessing for Jennifer and Clay is their oldest helps out a whole lot to give them a break. They are both amazing parents with some handsome kids. I definitely was blessed to meet with Jennifer’s husband Clay. He was a great example of the way we should serve our wife and love our kids. Julie & Blake are having a baby boy!
There is a lot of excitement in the air, Julie and Blake are having their first child and on top of that they are having a baby boy. She is currently 8 months pregnant with baby Noah which the best part of it all this is that he is going to be my nephew. It took almost a year to finally convince them to allow me to take photos of them and what a better way then maternity! Blake and Julie are a huge blessing to my life and I know they are going to be amazing parents. We shot all of these photos downtown Jacksonville Florida extremely early in the morning and the lighting was just perfect, you couldn’t ask for something better. I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did editing them!
